Website Projects
I already have a website. Does everything need to be rebuilt from scratch?
No. We analyse your existing site and decide together what to keep, adapt, or redesign.
Do I need new texts and images?
Not necessarily. We work with your existing material and recommend targeted additions where they would meaningfully improve the result.
Can I keep my existing booking or reservation system?
Usually yes. Existing systems are integrated into the new website wherever possible. If needed, we recommend suitable alternatives.
What about data privacy, cookies, and legal notices?
A privacy policy, legal notice, and a technically clean consent solution are part of every project. For a legal assessment of your specific data processing, we recommend consulting your legal counsel if required.
How do I know which scope is right for my website?
Simply send us the link to your existing website. We'll review it and recommend the right scope for a no-obligation quote. Each of the three website packages has a defined scope. Online shops, complex booking or reservation systems, custom development, advanced integrations, and unusually complex requirements are quoted separately in an individual offer.
Is SEO included in the website packages?
Yes. Basic SEO is included in all three website packages. This means basic technical and content-related SEO measures within the agreed scope. No particular ranking, visibility, traffic, leads, bookings, sales, or revenue result is guaranteed.
Which additional SEO services can I book?
In addition to the included Basic SEO, you can book a one-off SEO Setup for €390 plus statutory VAT or Local SEO for €590 plus statutory VAT. Both are one-off services, not subscriptions or recurring monthly fees. No particular ranking, traffic, lead, or revenue result is guaranteed for these services either.
Can MK maintain the website after launch?
Yes. We offer Website Care packages for ongoing technical maintenance, updates, and minor changes after launch.
How does payment work?
The exact payment structure is set out in the offer. For directly bookable B2B packages, you select your payment method on the payment page; card and Apple Pay are available where technically supported. The offer, order summary, and terms and conditions are binding.
When does MK start work?
Work typically begins after written commissioning and receipt of the agreed deposit. Start date and project timeline are set out in the offer.
How long does it take to create a website?
Most websites are completed within 1 to 4 weeks. The exact duration depends on the scope, required functions, and how quickly we receive the necessary content. More extensive individual projects or special integrations may take longer.
How do acceptance and customer cooperation work?
Final acceptance has a 14 calendar-day period, with a reminder on day 7. Refusal requires at least one concrete defect under § 640 BGB; non-use alone is not a reason for a refund. Customer-cooperation requests are separate from acceptance, concern cooperation under §§ 642–645 BGB, and do not constitute acceptance.
Can I cancel a commissioned website project?
Commissioned projects may be cancelled under the conditions set out in the contract and general terms and conditions. Services already rendered are payable.
What happens to work already completed if a project is cancelled?
Services rendered up to the point of cancellation are invoiced according to the agreed fee. Details are governed by the contract and general terms and conditions.
Do I have a statutory right of withdrawal?
Whether a statutory right of withdrawal applies depends on whether you are acting as a consumer or a business in the legal sense. The applicable law and our general terms and conditions are authoritative. Please contact us if you have questions.
Rental Website (Mietweb)
What is the minimum term for a rental website, and how can I cancel?
The minimum term is 6 months. After that, the contract can be cancelled monthly. Statutory rights remain unaffected. The rental agreement, individual offer, and terms and conditions are authoritative.
What happens to my website when the rental subscription ends?
Upon expiry or cancellation, the rental website is taken offline unless it is purchased. For Mietweb Flex, the one-time takeover price is €650 after 6 months, €450 during months 7–12, and €295 from month 13, each excluding VAT. The rental agreement, offer, and terms and conditions remain authoritative.
Are domain registration and hosting included in website packages or rental websites?
Domain & Hosting — Domain registration and hosting are not included in our website packages. We can recommend reliable providers suited to your location and requirements and assist you with registration, setup and configuration. Provider fees are paid directly by you, and your domain remains registered in your name.
When is my rental website activated?
After ordering, we send the rental agreement to you electronically for signature. Activation takes place only after signature and once the contractual requirements have been met.
Can content on my rental website be updated?
Minor adjustments are possible within the agreed scope of service. The exact extent is set out in the offer. More substantial changes are arranged separately.
Is an online shop included in the rental website?
No. Mietweb Basic (up to 5 content pages), Business (up to 7 content pages), and Flex (up to 7 content pages) are business websites without a shop function. Mietweb Shop includes up to 20 products; page scope is defined individually. Legal notice, Privacy Policy, and cookie/consent pages are not counted as content pages.
Can additional pages or functionality be added?
Yes, at an additional cost. Exact scope and pricing are confirmed individually in the offer.
Social Media Content
What materials do I need to provide?
We work with existing or provided image, video, brand, and product materials. The more complete your content, brand colours, logos, and style guidelines are, the more precisely we can align the content with your existing presence.
Are Reels and short videos included in the packages?
Yes. Depending on the package, a specific number of Reels or short videos per month is included. The exact scope is determined by the package you book.
Does MK Design also create texts and captions?
Yes. Texts and captions are part of the social media packages and are created to suit your brand, target audience, and tone of voice.
Does MK Design also handle publishing on my social media channels?
Content creation is included in the packages. Ongoing publishing, channel management, and community management are not automatically included and can be agreed separately if offered.
Are on-site shoots included?
No. The regular packages are based on existing or provided material. On-site shoots can be agreed and quoted separately.
Is community management included?
No. Community management, such as replying to comments or messages, is not part of the standard packages and can be agreed separately.
Can I change my package later?
Yes. If your content needs change, the scope can be adjusted for a future billing period. The agreed term or billing period is decisive.
How many rounds of revisions are included?
The current social media packages include one round of revisions. Further changes or additional revision rounds can be agreed separately.
How does content planning work?
The larger packages include monthly content planning. Topics, formats, and content are structured for the relevant period and aligned with your brand and target audience.
Can I book individual services without a monthly package?
Individual content scopes or additional services can be requested. Whether a one-off booking makes sense depends on the desired format, scope, and available material.
